Who We Are
Harbor Films and Books is an award-winning writing and film production team. Our mission is helping families and organizations bring their history and stories to life for future generations. From short profiles to full-length documentaries, we can help you manage the process of preserving important moments in your family’s history.
Barbara R. Thompson is an award-winning writer, editor and writing coach, with a focus on memoirs,
self-help books, and spiritual reflections. She is a winner of the Christopher Award ‘for creative works that affirm the highest values of the human spirit.’ She has authored more than a dozen books and has been on writing assignments to Nicaragua, Nepal, Bangladesh, Croatia, Bosnia, and the Mississippi Delta.
Jonathan M. Harris has worked as a producer for public television and as a post-production supervisor for award-winning short and feature-length films. His films have screened at film festivals nationwide and on state-wide television in Georgia and have been called “visionary” and “ambitious” in press reviews. He is a professor of film at Clayton State University.
